Grading Underway

Site work is underway on the Freightliner Northwest dealership for Gordon Truck Centers in Millersburg, near Albany, Oregon. Eventually the existing dealership will be significantly expanded, but while awaiting building permits the dirt work is being done in the dry summer months. Stratus Developers is working as owner’s representative for Gordon Truck Centers. Valley Pacific Construction out of Donald, Oregon is the excavator.

The overall site of 23 acres can accommodate the expanded dealership plus a future distribution warehouse once a tenant is secured. A dramatic amount of grading needs to take place in order to contour the site and export poor clay soils that are prevalent in the mid Willamette Valley. Loaded dump trucks are leaving the site every 1 minute, 15 seconds for 10 hours a day, six days a week!
