Jiffy Products Operating

Jiffy Products of America occupied their factory on Swan Island in Portland, Oregon. Stratus Developers worked on behalf of this tenant to design, permit and install a proprietary manufacturing line for agricultural substrates. Based in Europe, their equipment and processes needed to be translated and adapted for local building codes.

Challenges of the project included a 6 foot deep sediment pit, significant trenching and installation of more than 60 pieces of equipment! Their complex effluent system required negotiation and approval through City of Portland’s Bureau of Environmental Services.
