JSR Award 3 Green Globes

JSR Micro was awarded today with three Green Globes by the Green Globe Building Certification program. This is analogous to a gold rating on the more common LEED scale. The rating applies to the interior buildout of the Administration building within JSR’s Hillsboro factory. A score of 642 points out of 842, or 76% of the applicable points were obtained.

Measures implemented included energy saving light fixtures and HVAC controls in the Energy category. Points were awarded for water saving plumbing fixtures and food service fixtures in the Water category. Recycling over 75% of the construction waste and purchasing modular furniture with casework scored in the Materials & Resources category. Exceptional ventilation, low VOCs, and extra HVAC control zones led to points in the Indoor Environment category.

Stratus Developers has obtained sustainability ratings for offices, warehouses and manufacturing buildings. We have experience with the three most common rating systems: LEED, Green Globes and Earth Advantage.
